Ross Gould papers
James Ross Gould was a film actor and songwriter who served as a first lieutenant in the United States Army. The Ross Gould papers contain manuscript and facsimile scores of songs by Gould, poems by Gould inscribed to the painter Durett Stokes, publicity photos of Gould from his Hollywood film career, and clippings.
Roy McCoy photographs
Roy McCoy (1920-2001) was a jazz trumpeter from Baltimore who performed with such ensembles as the house band of the Royal Theater and the Lionel Hampton Band in the late 1930s and 1940s. McCoy took many pictures of his friends and associates in the Baltimore musical scene. The McCoy photographs collection contains prints, negatives, and a photo album of musicians and associates, primarily from approximately 1935 to 1965.
Ruth K. Inglefield papers and harp music collection
The Ruth K. Inglefield papers and harp music collection (assembled approximately 1960-2018) contain music for harp used by former Peabody Conservatory faculty member Ruth Inglefield. Most items are printed scores or reproductions composed between 1960 and 2010 and contain Inglefield's annotations. Many scores of chamber music include parts. The collection also contains a copy of Inglefield's dissertation and some professional ephemera.
Sergio Cervetti papers
Sergio Cervetti left his native Uruguay in 1962 to study composition in the United States, graduating with a degree from the Peabody Conservatory in 1967 and later teaching music at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University from 1972 to 1997. As a composer, he wrote more than 100 works drawing from electronic music, folk elements, European tradition, and minimalist aesthetics. The Sergio Cervetti papers contain scores and recordings of his works.

This collection contains printed scores of Jewish sacred and folk music by multiple composers.
Soren Lura correspondence collection
Soren Lura was a cellist and conductor who also worked for the Library of Congress. His collection consists of 22 letters by Brahms, Sarasate, Richard Strauss, Moscheles, Spohr, Grainger, Wilhelmj, Saint-Saëns, and others, collected by Lili Scholz and given to Lura in 1950. In 2007, Lura's daughters, Donna Fink and Dody Martin, donated the letters to Peabody in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Peabody Archives.
Sounds and Stories collection
Sounds and Stories began in 2002 as an oral-history project. A Peabody Conservatory musicology seminar of 18 students interviewed dozens of participants in the music of Baltimore's black community to record their memories and to document their world and their legacy. The collection was assembled primarily from 1998 to 2004 and contains oral histories, photographs, and supporting research about African-American musical culture, especially in Baltimore from approximately 1930 to 1960.
Stefans Grové correspondence
The collection contains letters and postcards from composer Stefans Grové to Peabody music librarian Brad O'Keefe from 1972 to 1974, shortly after Grové had stopped teaching at the Peabody Conservatory and returned to his native South Africa.
Theater Chamber Players records
The Theater Chamber Players, founded by Peabody Institute faculty members Dina Koston and Leon Fleisher, were a chamber music ensemble that featured 20th-century music and was based primarily in Washington, D.C., from 1968 to 2003. The TCP records include administrative and business documents, correspondence, working files, concert programs, publicity material, photographs, recordings, scores, and reference material.
Theodor and Emma Hemberger scores
Theodor (Theodore) Hemberger was a German-born violinist, conductor, and composer who directed the Germania Männerchor and performed with H.L. Mencken in the Saturday Night Club. His wife, Emma Conrad Hemberger, was a singer and the composer of the anthem "Baltimore, Our Baltimore." The collection consists primarily of manuscript scores of Theodor's original works and arrangements for orchestra, voice, and chamber ensemble. Also included are manuscripts of Emma's music.
Theodor von Muncker collection on the Bayreuth Festspielhaus
The collection contains chiefly printed material from 1872 to 1889 gathered by Theodor von Muncker, mayor of the Bavarian town of Bayreuth during the period of the construction and opening of the Festspielhaus theater designed for Richard Wagner. Documents in the collection are related to the administration and programming of the Festspielhaus and the Richard Wagner-Verein.
Thom Robinson music manuscripts
Thom Robinson (1962-1994) was a composer and violinist who studied with Morris Moshe Cotel and earned a degree in composition from the Peabody Conservatory in 1986. The collection contains manuscript and facsimile scores of Robinson's compositions. The bulk of the scores are for chamber ensembles, sometimes including voices.

Timothy Mather Spelman was an American-born composer who spent much of his career in Florence writing operas and vocal music. The collection includes manuscript and published scores of his compositions.
Virginia C. Blackhead music manuscripts
Virginia C. Blackhead (1882-1969) was the superintendent of the Peabody Preparatory from 1932 to 1944. Blackhead was also the director of the Baltimore and Ohio Women's Music Club from 1925 to 1940 and a musical advisor to the Peabody Junior Choir (later renamed the Phoenix Choir of Baltimore). The Virginia C. Blackhead music manuscripts (approximately 1905-1955) contain manuscript scores of songs for voice and piano composed by Blackhead.

Walter Spencer Huffman music manuscripts and recordings
Walter Spencer Huffman was a composer and music teacher who studied and served on the faculty of the Peabody Conservatory of Music in the 1940s and 1950s. From 1955 until his death in 2005, Huffman taught music privately in Maryland and continued to compose. The collection consists of holograph scores of approximately 150 works, including chamber music, symphonies, and choral music.

William A. Chrystal was a pianist, composer, arranger, and conductor based in the Pittsburgh area for most of his career. He attended the Peabody Conservatory in the 1950s and earned degrees in piano performance. The William A. Chrystal papers contain music manuscripts, programs, clippings, professional documents, and sound recordings.

William Bland is a pianist and composer who graduated from the Peabody Conservatory with a doctor of musical arts degree in 1973. His papers include manuscript and photocopied scores of his compositions.
William F. Lucas family papers
William F. Lucas and family owned the Lucas Bros. printing and stationery business in Baltimore in the 19th century. The Lucas family papers include correspondence, diaries, financial documents, photographs, and scrapbooks relating to the family and their business, including writing books by William F. Lucas' daughter, Bertha E. Lucas, and papers related to William's brother, art collector George A. Lucas.
William Frick papers
William Frick was a poet, lawyer, Maryland state senator, and city court judge, and associate judge of the Court of Appeals, and was elected first judge of the Superior Court of Baltimore city in 1851. His papers date from 1833 to 1846 and include correspondence with colleagues in the fields of law and politics, publications, photographs, clippings, and invitations.
